This is something that I have been contemplating for the past few years now. It seems like if you wish to do good in the world then you cannot rely on emotion for this is how arguments turn to heated rivalries and how wars begin. The most logical approach appears to be to strip oneself of all emotion in order to assume the position of a legislator or an educator. If I want to leave a larger mark in the world for the benefit of human kind then I feel I have to strip myself of all emotion while at the same time putting myself through some rough times. Some of the practices that I am currently experimenting with are:
✅🤔 Negative Visualization [info]
A stoic practice where one pictures life after one has everything taken from them or when one's desired outcome for an uncontrollable event doesn't come to fruition.

❌😌 Never Engage in Nostalgia [info]
I begin to suspect why those in the past believed nostalgia to be a mental illness since it can cripple you to new ideas and changes over the course of history. This is why I have decided to try and avoid nostalgia at all cost. While I still engage in nostalgia at appropriate times, I do not engage in it to a point where I try to recreate the world as it once was as it appears that some politically driven groups are currently trying to do.
✅😲 ALWAYS let your beliefs be comprised!
I came to this conclusion after someone told me that I should never let anyone comprise my beliefs, but if one were to truly become a more evolved human being and perhaps even closer to their creator, then this rule is worthless. ALWAYS let your beliefs be comprised as this is the only way you are going to learn if what you believe in is bullshit.
These are just some of the ways one could aim for a more logic driven life instead of an emotional one. If you have any tips or any other strategies in how to obtain this then please share them in this thread.
