That whatever you do in this world or universe. You have left a mark in it. It doesn't matter if this is helping someone with directions to somewhere or helping someone find a specific building on a college campus. You have left a mark in this world and on that person you just assisted.

The next time someone asks you for directions or aid. After you oblige and provide them with the information that you know or after you inform them that you don't know yourself. Take a second to stop and ask yourself this one question. How would the course of events be had you decided to just simply ignore that person?
That one person would have most likely asked somebody else or at worse, wander endlessly until they eventually find where it is that they are going. Because you took the initiative to assist them, you have altered the course of events for that person and potentially yourself.
The question here isn't "What kind of mark can I leave in this world?", it really is "How big of a mark can I leave in this world?"
