Quite possibly one of the best social commentaries that ever hit the silver screen. All three films in this franchise still manage to make one laugh years after the last one premiered in cinemas. Considering the current state of the world and the political polarization of the United States of America as well as the world. I feel the time maybe right for an Austin Powers IV. I can see Austin getting into some trouble when he uses one of his famous lines, "That's a man, baby, yeah!" I could see him being lectured about how that may appeal transphobic while at the same time the overall message of the film being that society needs to lighten up and take a joke. He wouldn't be transphobic since he is a man of love and would applaud the transsexual for whom he used that line on as a content person who learned to love themselves. Austin Powers is a film series about love and there is no better proof of that than Mr. Burt Bacharach! My only worry is that much like other films in Hollywood in this day and age. There will be an overall bias toward the left wing of politics and for that reason alone is the reason why I hope an Austin Powers IV never gets made unless the producers, writers, directors, and the studios make a film that is in tune with the overall franchise. Because what the world needs now is love, sweet love, no not just for some, but everyone.
