Where I reside I see an abundance in unisex restrooms. Which is fine and there are no complaints from me, but the names vary and that is what annoys me. While "unisex" may have been the popular name and one that remains so since decades ago. There is a new name that is rising up to challenge it. The name I am referring to is "all gender restroom". If this was going to be the new name for the unisex restroom then I have no problems with that, but it is when some locations think they are going to be a special snowflake and name their restrooms something different like "gender neutral restrooms". The family restroom is in this clustermess too, but that existed since the nineties with the first one I noticed being at Legoland in San Diego, California. Just the other day when I visited my local mall I noticed something else that wasn't there before. The family restroom now has "all gender restroom" signs on the doors that houses the toilets. Almost as if we needed to be told that these rooms were for all genders. How come you could just replace the sign in the front with "all gender restroom" if that was really what you wanted to convoy to the public? Better yet, why not just name this specific restroom, "Restroom"? Some establishments already do this and I applaud them for being straight-forward, but now we honestly have five contenders to be the name of a room where one takes a crapper. Why not just one standardized name agreed upon by a committee of business owners? This is ridiculous and it brings forth my autism.
